About the role
This is a SOC engineer role focused on the administration, management, and optimization of security information and event management (SIEMS) systems and case management tools. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of SOC infrastructure through system maintenance, vendor coordination, and continuous improvement of security monitoring capabilities.
Key responsibilities
Troubleshoot, upgrade and maintain systems
Liaise with external vendors to ensure smooth operations
Configure and fine-tune systems
Oversee design, implementation and management of new systems
Conduct training to analysts in the usage and functionality of the systems
About you
Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or Computer Engineering
Minimally 2 years of relevant working experience in SOC as a SOC engineer with hands on experience in SIEMS and case management tools administration and management
Familiar with SOC Process SOP
Hands-on experience in the setup and writing of SIEMS parsers
Hands-on experience in the provisioning and interpretation of log and network packet data (incl. SNARE, CEF, PCAP and Netflow)
Minimally possess the foundation in Internet protocols (TCP/IP) and routing protocol
Hands-on experience in Unix/Linux/Windows administration, virtual machine, storage & backup system, network & security management
Have experience and knowledge about security threat and attack countermeasure
Possess analytical problem solving and troubleshooting skill
Effective time management and organizational skill
