Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and operate high-scale, cloud-native applications across the full software engineering lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript/JavaScript, cloud technologies, microservices, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and Terraform. This role requires the ability to work independently, solve complex engineering problems, collaborate across globally distributed teams, and deliver scalable, production-ready software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and continuously improve software solutions across the full engineering stack.
- Build and operate high-scale, cloud-native applications using modern software engineering practices.
- Develop solutions using microservices architecture, serverless computing, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Design and develop microservices using Java, Spring Boot, GCP SDKs, and GKE/Kubernetes.
- Integrate applications and services with existing enterprise infrastructure, Data Fabric, and CSA Toolset.
- Participate in technology roadmap and architecture discussions, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot product and system issues through debugging, tracing, root-cause analysis, and impact assessment.
- Research, design, and build applications that extend and enhance Equifax solutions.
- Manage engineering priorities, project deadlines, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Contribute to scalability, data access, and information-access initiatives.
- Participate actively in Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, and other Agile team activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure system availability, reliability, scalability, and production readiness.
- Guide requirements analysis and contribute to clear Definition of Done and Production Readiness standards.
- Develop proof-of-value prototypes using industry-standard design patterns and software engineering practices.
- Provide technical feasibility assessments for new ideas and value initiatives.
- Deliver high-quality software from development through production operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience writing, debugging, and troubleshooting code using:
- Core Java
- Spring Boot
- TypeScript / JavaScript
- HTML
- CSS
- 5+ years of experience with cloud technologies, including GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing cloud-native solutions.
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing microservices using:
- Java
- Spring Boot
- GCP SDKs
- GKE / Kubernetes
- 5+ years of experience deploying and releasing software using:
- Jenkins CI/CD
- Infrastructure as Code
- Helm Charts
- Terraform
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, system integration, and modern engineering practices.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and solve complex technical problems.
