We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join an HR Insights data team working on business-critical HR data and data products.
You will play a key role in making HR data accessible across a large-scale data platform. The data produced by the team supports important business processes and decision-making around staffing, absenteeism, contracts, qualifications and training.
As a senior member of the team, you will take ownership of the full data engineering lifecycle, from connecting new data sources and designing data models through to building reliable pipelines and delivering high-quality data products.
Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and HR data products.
Integrate new HR data sources into the data platform.
Develop secure and reliable integrations for applications and other data teams.
Translate complex HR and business requirements into robust data models.
Deliver data products supporting staffing, absenteeism, contracts, qualifications and training.
Ensure strong standards around data quality, monitoring, reliability and documentation.
Work closely with HR stakeholders and other data teams.
Support technical decision-making across the team.
Coach less experienced engineers and promote best practices.
Improve data standards, processes and tooling.
Contribute to the overall stability and scalability of the platform.

5-7+ years of recent Data Engineering experience within complex ETL, BI or Data Warehouse environments.
Expert-level SQL skills.
Strong experience with Snowflake.
Strong experience with Azure, particularly Azure Data Factory.
Proven experience building and maintaining complex data pipelines.
Strong knowledge of data modelling, ideally dimensional modelling and/or Data Vault 2.0.
Experience with Git, version control and CI/CD.
Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience mentoring or coaching other engineers.
HBO/WO-level education in Computer Science, Data Science, Industrial Engineering or a similar field.
Excellent Dutch communication skills - Dutch is mandatory.
This role is not suitable for ZZP/self-employed professionals.
Candidates must be employed through a payroll structure where the relevant Dutch wage taxes and employee insurance contributions are paid.
